Good rainy morning! How much has it rained? KPUD has rain gauges all across Kitsap. Jim LeCuyer, the rain gauge guru at PUD shared the water info for a few of his stations with me today. In Poulsbo this morning from Midnight to 8 AM it has already rained .73 inches! Yesterday we received an inch and a quarter of rain in Poulsbo. It only rained 3/4 of an inch at Bremerton Airport yesterday and 1/2 inch in Hansville. That only goes to show the variability of rainfall in Kitsap. It is traditionally wetter in South Kitsap, but Poulsbo is getting dumped on this time. Total for the water year so far in Poulsbo is 37.55 inches.
Even we at KPUD, who appreciate groundwater recharge are getting a little tired of this weather. That is except maybe Jim who is happiest when it rains.
